1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all reservations, accommodation, safaris, and services provided by Ta Shebube (Pty) Ltd (“Ta Shebube”, “we”, “our”, “us”) through its lodges, Rooiputs and Polentswa (“the Lodges”), and any related digital platforms, including our website and booking system. By making a reservation, using our services, or accessing our website, you (“the guest”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms in full.
2. Definitions
- Booking: A confirmed reservation for accommodation, safari activities, or other services.
- Guest: Any person making a booking or using services provided by Ta Shebube.
- Lodge(s): Rooiputs Lodge and Polentswa Lodge collectively or individually.
- Services: Accommodation, meals, game drives, transfers, and other hospitality offerings.
- Force Majeure: Events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government restrictions.
3. Scope of Services
We offer lodge accommodation and related services, including:
- Full board accommodation (with or without game drives)
- Safari activities and guided excursions
- Park entry and conservation fees
- Transfers between lodges and nearby points
- Additional services (e.g., sundowners, private vehicles, picnics, laundry)
4. Booking Process
- All booking requests, amendments, and cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or our booking system.
- Bookings are subject to availability and held provisionally for 14 days.
- A booking is only confirmed once a 20% non-refundable deposit is received.
- If the booking is made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required at confirmation.
- If payment is not received within the specified time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Guest Information Required at Confirmation:
- Full names and passport/ID details
- Contact details and estimated arrival time
- Ages of all guests (especially children and seniors)
- Rooming requirements
- Dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical conditions
- Details of special occasions (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries)
5. Rates and Payment
- All rates are quoted per person per night, net of commission, and subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
- Rates include accommodation, meals, bed levy, and park entry fees (game drives and extras only if specified).
- Rates exclude flights, airport taxes, inter-camp transfers, and personal expenses.
- Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card. Card payments incur a 2.5% administration fee.
- All payments must be made in the currency stated on the invoice.
6. Children and Family Policy
- Minimum guest age is 8 years.
- Children aged 8–12 qualify for a 50% discounted rate when sharing with adults.
- Children under 12 may participate in game drives only at the discretion of the manager or guide.
- A private vehicle is compulsory for game drives with children under 12.
7. Long-Stay Discounts
- 6–8 consecutive nights: 5% discount on the net rate
- 9+ consecutive nights: 10% discount on the net rate
8. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The following fees apply:

No refunds will be provided for no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, or force majeure events.
9. Refunds
REFUNDS :
Whilst Ta Shebube will ensure as far as possible that accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim for refund against the Company should accommodation or activities booked are not available as a consequence of an Act of Nature, and where an alternative was not found.
In the unlikely event that extreme weather conditions or wild animals damage our infrastructure/facilities with the result that Ta Shebube is not able to provide all services initially promised, the company assumes no responsibilities for this and no claims for refund will be allowed.
10. Insurance
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Emergency medical evacuation
- Medical expenses and repatriation
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Personal liability
We accept no responsibility for costs arising from failure to obtain adequate insurance.
11. Health, Safety & Medical Conditions
- Guests must disclose medical conditions or special needs at booking.
- Participation in activities is at the guest’s own risk.
- We are not liable for injury, illness, or death during your stay or activities.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, political instability, or wildlife incidents. We reserve the right to amend, postpone, or cancel services without liability.
13. Liability & Indemnity
All guests use lodge facilities and participate in activities at their own risk. We accept no liability for loss, injury, damage, illness, or death except where caused by our gross negligence. Guests agree to indemnify and hold Ta Shebube harmless from claims arising during their stay.
14. Intellectual Property & Website Use
All website content is owned by Ta Shebube and may not be copied or distributed without written consent. Use of our website is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data laws.
15. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be published on our website, and the version in force at the time of booking shall apply.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, without prejudice to mandatory consumer laws in your country. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Botswana.
